Application for a Marriage Licence
Application for a Licence must be made in person to the Registrar of Marriages in the Cook Islands at least 3 working days prior to the marriage. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm. Application for the Licence cannot be made outside the Cook Islands
Your passport and birth certificate will be required when completing the Notice of Intended Marriage at the Registrar’s office in Avarua, Cook Islands. If divorced, a copy of the Decree Absolute (divorce documents) are required. All documents must be in English. If you are a widow or widower, you will be required to produce the death certificate of your deceased spouse.
Copies of these documents should be provided to Essence Tours 28 days prior to your departure to be sent to your chosen resort.
